LockerBlogger announced that the Professional Anglers Association (PAA), the leading professional bass fishing organization, has selected LockerBlogger as its official social platform to connect its anglers and their fans. Built by sports lovers for sports lovers, LockerBlogger integrates blogging and social features to give fans exclusive inside access to their favorite athletes and lets pro and amateur athletes build their online persona and grow their community.
“As an athlete I’m always looking for new ways to connect with fans,” said professional angler Chad Morgenthaler. “With LockerBlogger I’m able to connect with sports fans across the nation and provide a glimpse into the daily life of a professional angler, as well as the highs and lows of competitive bass fishing. LockerBlogger is definitely a great catch!”
On LockerBlogger, Professional Anglers Association members can create their own personal “lockers” — or pages where they can blog, post videos and photos, and talk directly to their fans. Additionally, the PAA hosts its own official page on LockerBlogger, where it posts updates and video highlights from competitions across the country, tips and interviews with anglers, information on upcoming tournaments, and more.
“The Professional Anglers Association is made up of the nation’s top professional anglers and we are excited to offer our PAA membership this unique opportunity for added exposure,” said Danny Blandford, Business Development Manager of the Professional Anglers Association. “We expect LockerBlogger to be a leader in 'real-time' sports information, and think our fans will love this added coverage.”
Morgenthaler is already actively participating on LockerBlogger, and the PAA expects many more anglers to follow suit and come on board in early 2010. “Both our organization and anglers will be adding content to our lockers during the winter, making Locker Blogger a great stop for fishing fans during the 2010 Tournament Season,” added Blandford.
The PAA tournament season will run from June through October, with the season kicking off June 3-5, 2010 at the Corporate Cup and PAA Bass Pro Shops Tournament Series.
