The Professional Anglers Association has launched a redesigned website – fishpaa.com – that is easier to navigate, has a Member’s Only area and offers a storefront with apparel and DVDs.
The site has been in the design phase for months with PAA staff, anglers on the Board of Directors and The Cox Group of Charlotte working together to create it. Doug Cox of The Cox Group spearheaded the redesign with his team to fashion a clean, efficient and modern site that will benefit PAA members and visitors.
"After many months of planning and work, we're thrilled to unveil the new site,” said Danny Blandford, PAA Program Director. "The team at the Cox Group did a fantastic job of suggesting creative ways to build the new site and incorporated our suggestions as well.
“Doing something like this is not an easy or overnight task,” Blandford added. “It took numerous hours, many meetings and hundreds of emails to get things finalized. The PAA's staff and Board of Directors, and the membership, appreciates the hard work the Cox Group did on this job."
FishPAA.com features a rotating carousel of news, features, sponsor and industry news, tournament reports and other items. Visitors will easily find ways to learn about the PAA’s tournaments and Affinity Program, join the organization and access sites for PAA sponsor partners.
Tournament pages exist for each event on the 2010 PAA Bass Pro Shops Tournament Series presented by Carrot Stix. The pages include information about rules and entry, and links for the host cities, ramp, lake, lodging, amenities, weather and more. Also included are pages for the PAA Corporate Cup and Jamboree, and the Toyota Texas Bass Classic scheduled in October.
Industry News features feeds from other sites with stories and news for one-stop information on the industry. PAA members may access the Affinity section in the Member’s Only pages to learn about discounts on tackle and equipment from our PAA partners.
In the Store, visitors will find PAA-branded items that can be easily purchased. Membership in the PAA also may be easily purchased with a few clicks in the new shopping area.
“We have more than 20 PAA-branded items including caps and tee-shirts, DVDs of our FishPAA television show and highlights from the 2009 tournament series,” Blandford said. “We look forward to continuing to offer items for PAA members and fishing fans. The DVDs are a great value with instructional tips from some of the best professional anglers in the world."
"The PAA Affinity Program provides the chance for companies to put their products in front of PAA members, many with great discounts on pricing. The PAA staff continues to seek partnerships with companies interested in getting their products in front of knowledgeable anglers and fishing fans who will use and enjoy them on the water. Our new site allows us to really showcase a company and their products within their own dedicated space; I look for this to program to really grow with these enhancements."
The PAA will continue to build on the site with new content and listen to members with suggestions on changes.
“We always are looking for ways to improve the PAA and its benefits to members, and the new site will help us do that,” Blandford said.
