Navionics has been debuting their all encompassing Navionics Mobile Hot Maps program for the iPhone at the Miami Boat Show this week. A single app will be available in the distant future but for now the good news is a new 4.0 version of their ever popular four mobile hot maps applications is coming soon.

I used this app a lot this year on my iPhone to store fishing spots. The GPS is quick updating and very robust, allowing you to geo-tag photos on your favorite fishing spots, name your spots with long names, find land marks and more. The new app will allow for Google Earth satellite imagery which is extremely helpful in finding docks and man-made structure to fish as well as helping you get your bearings on unfamiliar waters.
