Mark Mendez is all about fishing, doing it right no matter what and his undying passion is sometimes misunderstood. One thing for sure is he doesn't do anything second rate and there is no question that he knows how to make it work. His latest magazine BassWest USA is right on target. For those that don't know, Mendez owns BassWest USA along with Swimbait Nation website, Anglers Choice Tournament Trails, and fishing tackle e-commerce retailer BassTackleDepot.com.
This is not a West Coast deal but rather covers our passion, bass fishing, from coast to coast north to south.
Turning savvy veteran writers and anglers like Jamie Cyphers, Dan O'Sullivan, Dan Mathisen and Jarrett Edwards loose on a project and you know it has to be good.
The latest BassWest USA magazine is a winner. Filled with stories about anglers by anglers tells the story the right way. Great perspectives about legends like Larry Nixon, a great piece about bass fishing's nicest angler James Niggermeyer and an excellent article about swimming a jig are all included in this magazine. We also liked the artical about Revenge Baits and their owner Ray Moughalian who builds some of the finest spinnerbaits on the map.
They don't cut corners either. Great photos, quality paper and printing make it look good too.
One of our favorite sections is Top Shelf where new products are highlighted. This month they highlight Strike Kings Red Eye Shad, the Boing Topwater, Ardents reels, Minda Lures, Seaguar and IMA's Roumba.
