Doug Osmera and Pat Hayes of Omaha, Neb. caught 29.13 pounds of bass for two days to win the a new Bass Cat Pantera II with a Mercury Optimax 200 at the Bass Cat Owners Invitational on Norfork Lake. The team sought out the dirtiest muddiest water it could find and flipped jigs to win.

This was their third trip to Norfork and it was definitely a charm. The also won the big bass prize for a 5.7 pound bass they caught on a jig.

Dan Brown and Phillip McFarland of Mountain Home, Ark. finished second with 27.37 pounds of bass. Following them in third place was the team of Troy Lackey and Larry Graddy of Yellville, Ark with a two-day total of 27.02 pounds.

As a side “fun” pot, the largest striper weighed in at 22.22 pounds by Sam and Fred Gicinto of Camdenton, Mo. Big Walleye for the tournament was a 5.27-pounder by James Southard, and Lewis Moody of Jordan, Ark.
