Rostra Debuts Rearsight Trailer Towing Kit
LAURINBURG, N.C. – Rostra Precision Controls Inc.’s Trailer Towing Kit allows drivers of trailers up to 53-feet in length to use the RearSight® system for the prevention of backing accidents.
The kit includes all harnesses and brackets needed for installation, and can be connected to Rostra’s #250-8010 system designed for heavy-duty applications.
The RearSight system features:

The state-of-the-art high-quality color waterproof camera can be installed in the rear exterior of the towing vehicle’s tailgate or bumper to take up minimum space.
The monitor which is mounted in the interior of the vehicle is activated when the vehicle is put into reverse, and begins receiving images from the rear-mounted camera. Monitors and mirrors are a direct factory replacement.
By providing a 150-degree wide-angle view from the rear of the vehicle, RearSight’s capabilities can be used to avoid objects that are in the tow vehicle’s or trailer’s blind spot and identify items that are much closer to the ground than an ultrasonic product can detect. An auto-infrared feature enhances night vision.
