Kevin VanDam won another Bassmaster Classic and Strike King again played a major role. The Redeye Shad was his bait of choice and the introduction of a new gold 1/2 ounce lipless jewel will make waves the entire year as a result. Remember Sexy Shad? Now Gold Sexy will be on the lips of anglers from coast to coast.

 

 

Another product that was crucial to his success was KVD Line and Lure Conditioner. Rods, reels and baits always get the notoriety in tournament wins but Kevin told Wired2Fish that Line and Lure made a big difference in his success. "I use Line and Lure all the time. In this tournament it was critical, especially during practice when it was so cold. Rod guides will ice up and because of the properties of Line and Lure I didn't have that problem. I was able to make the casts I needed too even in the cold conditions as the water was repelled off the line."
