The Illinois State High School Bass Fishing State Championship will be held this weekend, Friday May 7 and May 8, at Carlyle Lake is Southern Illinois. 57 Teams from across the state qualified via Sectional Championships for a chance to be the
Illinois High School State Champs. Illinois was the first state and the only state, so far, to have a tournament trail aimed at high school youth.
A large expo, fishing demonstrations, casting competition, tackle companies and representatives from the TBF and FLW Outdoors will be in attendance.
Sponsors of the IHSA Bass Fishing Championships include Country Financial, Plano Molding, Wired2Fish, the City of Carlyle, and FLW Outdoors.
