Seaguar is often credited for inventing fluorocarbon fishing line, and their
Tatsu has become the flagship of premier fluorocarbon fishing lines. Now they are launching the same type of premium quality in their new Senshi Monofilament line and their new Kanzen Braided fishing line. These new lines will debut next week at ICAST but we've already received samples of the line and are currently testing the lines to give full reports to anglers.
Senshi, meaning "warrior" in Japanese, offers what Seaguar is calling the latest breakthroughs in world-class monofilament line production. The line will be sold in 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15 and 20-pound sizes in 200-yard spools.
Kanzen, meaning "infinity" in Japanese, offers a small diameter, densely woven braid that is strong and abrasion resistant but also still soft and manageable and it pairs very well with fluorocarbon leaders as is becoming more common among savvy anglers fishing heavy cover in clearer water. Kanzen will be available in either green or white colors and three size spools from 150, 200 and 500 yard capacities in almost any size a freshwater or saltwater angler could want. What's interesting is that 100 to 200-pound tests will be hollow braid for knotless wind-on connections for newer applications like Top-shotting which Jason is currently testing and working on a feature on for Wired2Fish fans.
So far we like what we've seen with the two new lines and look forward to talking with Seaguar out at ICAST next week. Stay tuned for more Sneak Peeks leading up to our up to the hour coverage of ICAST next week!
