If a fish will bite a crankbait rest assured David Fritts will be a threat. This past week David found what others didn't and won the FLW Chevy Open at Lake Guntersville. Instead of fishing shallow grass with a Clackin Rap or other fast movers he chose to fish a bait he designed for Rapala that dove to 10 feet and just ticked the structure.
All week long lipless rattling baits were the norm and several giant bags were caught on them. Finding some deeper fish Fritts chose a Fritts designed Rapala DT10 in two colors to win. He used a chartruese brown pattern in the early hours and plain shad in the pm when the sun got up. He also felt the Sure Set hooks, he designed as well, we the difference between landing the bass and losing them.
