Over the last few years we have seen several innovations in the fishing and boating market that has put safety in the forefront. Inflatable life jackets, GPS Beacon Systems, remote access ladders that allow anglers to regain entry into the boat and now a "never forget" drain plug system that works from inside the boat. All are designed to save lives.
Ever forget to put in your drain plug? No worries. Gene Gray, owner of Bass Boat Solutions, has the problem rectified. Bass Boat Solutions has a drain plug solution that allows you to put your drain plug in the boat from the inside the boat, even on the water. Fits on most models of bass boats with only two screws. It will work equally well on aluminum and fiberglass boats.
"I believe this will save lives and for sure a lot of embarrassment as well. Anglers always forget to put the drain plug in their boats and the Bass Boat Solutions Drain Plug System takes the worry out of the equation altogether" said Gray.
Its simple to install and operate.
Easy to read installations instructions come with every unit.
A cable system with an attached turn knob and drain plug system is run to a department that is easily accessible. The use of the current drain hole fits most models so minimal drilling is required.
To operate the DPS from inside the boat simply pull knob attached via cable to the plug. Pulling it will seat the drain plug into the housing then turn knob three turns counter clockwise. The fleixible stainless steel cable seats the plug and turning in tightens the plug in place. The day is saved and its time to go fishing. To check out the video on this product

Gene also has a new prototype unit that will be hitting the market very soon that uses a Flowright Open and Close lever so the boat operator can open or close the plug at the console. Its called a Remote DPS and is a complete system. Stainless Steel cable lengths to 17 feet will be available at launch. It too is easy to install and the appearance is the same as current baffle lever installed in today's bass boats livewell systems.
This is one slick system and don't be surprised to see it on premium boats in the near future. To learn more
