Is Pete Robbins the KVD of fantasy BASS? Pete racked up 1,321 points at the Smith Mountain event on his way to his second overall victory in the Wired2Fish fantasy BASS league this year. He's dwelling within the uppermost echelon of fantasy competition with a 99.1 percentile ranking. But the season is only halfway over. Can a Wired reader step up and give Pete a run for his money down the stretch? Only time will tell.
Editors note: Pete Robbins is an attorney for the Federal Government. Enough said.
BASS wasn't the only fantasy game in town last weekend. The FLW Tour had a derby going on at North Carolina's Lake Norman. Antonio Govela came out on top in the Wired2Fish FLW fantasy league. He picked three anglers in the Top 10 and nailed an exacta pick with Andy Morgan in 2nd place.
Both BASS and FLW are down to four events left in their respective seasons (or as far as BASS is concerned, the regular season), so there's still plenty of time for the standings to shake up. We took a look at the numbers across both Wired2Fish leagues in an attempt to find out who's the ultimate W2F fantasy basser - let's call these the Wired2Fish Fantasy Angler of the Year standings. Some fantasy players are strong in one league but struggling in the other, while others are showing a consistent level of performance on both sides.
Take note, the standings from the latest FLW event at Norman still haven't been updated, so the rank below will change as soon as those numbers are published. Keep an eye on Wired2Fish for the updated rankings later in the week. If you still aren't a member of both leagues, what are you waiting for?

*Note - If you don't see your name in the Top 10 standings and think it should be, send us a note at feedback@wired2fish.com and let us know. It might be because your entry name doesn't match up in the two leagues. And don't forget, we want to hear your picks! BASS heads to Guntersville May 7th, and the FLW Tour's next stop is Beaver Lake on May 14th. Send us your picks for these events and they might end up in one of our fantasy preview stories.
