Elite Series Bass Fishing on Guntersville

The Bassmaster Elite Series kicked off its Southern Challenge on Lake Guntersville this morning. Skeet Reese and Greg Hackney are wired up on the BASS CAST broadcast online and Skeet was weeding through small fish early on several different baits.

The word after practice is that the bass are in between and are just starting to get out to their humps and ledges. A lot of guys said that there are tons of 14-inch bass being caught, but most still believe the leaders will be more than the 20-pound mark in weight. But the general consensus is that weights overall will be down a bit due to the stage the of the fish.
