
Demopolis Alabama pro Boyd Duckett has taken the day one lead of the Bassmaster Classic in Shreveport. He had 5 bass weighing 20 lbs 3 ounces. Right behind him are South Dakota's Jami Fralick with 5 weighing 19-03, Fred Roumbanis with 18-04, Aaron Martens with 18-01 and Federation Nation Angler Terry Fitzpatrick with 18-00.
Day two is underway with overcast skies and cooler temps predicted. The weatherman is saying we have a good chance of rain (60%) with temps only reaching the mid 50's.
There were 39 limits, 223 fish and 584 lbs of bass weighed in on Day 1.
