Florida's Don Demott had a day last weekend we all dream about of as anglers. He was fishing the Kissimmee River in a FLW BFL event and loaded the boat with over 31 lbs of pre-spawn bass.
He caught all his fish flipping junk mats in 4 foot of water. These junk mats were composed of chopped up hydrilla and Kissimmee grass. All of the fish were pre spawn and they were moving in off the main lake heading shallow to spawn. Water temps began the day at 52 degrees and rose to 56 during the day. A severe cold front preceded the tournament.
Two years ago Demott won another BFL with over 19 pounds at the same event on the Kissimmee River.
Congrats Don on figuring them out again.
