Mark your calendars for the Big Bass Bash on Truman Lake, which will be held on June 26-27, 2010 and will pay out over $54,000 in cash.
The Big Bass Bash is for amateurs only. Its unique format allows the weekend angler a chance to win like the professionals. Unlike most fishing tournaments which have a team arrangement where prizes are based on total weight, the Big Bass Bash format is distinctive in that it only takes one angler just one big bass to win! The top 3 heaviest bass of the weekend will win these guaranteed cash prizes - $10,000 to first place, $5,000 to second place, and $2,500 to third place. If the Truman Lake Big Bass Bash hits their mark on entries, they will pay $20,000 to first overall, $10,000 to second overall, and $5,000 to third overall.
In addition to the overall prizes, there will be over $33,000 in guaranteed cash prizes for the top 10 largest bass caught during each semi-hourly weigh-in, for a total of 83 guaranteed places paid out.
There are numerous ways to win even more money:
Early Bird Drawing: Everyone who enters by midnight on May 29 will be entered into a drawing for their chance to win one of five $200 cash prizes!
T-shirt Bonus: If you have an official t-shirt in your possession when you weigh-in and happen to come in 11th place in any of the semi-hourly weigh-ins, you will win $125!
Exact Weight Bonus: The first person to weigh-in a 3.00 and/or a 4.00 lb. exact weight bass each day will win $500!
There will be 2 weigh-in locations on Truman Lake. Anglers can weigh-in at the Long Shoal Marina, and at Osage Bluff Marina.
In addition to all the payouts above, the winner of the Truman Lake Big Bass Bash could win an additional $20,000 cash with the Triton Boat mystery weight and Triton Boat incentive.
