Pure Fishing Goes to College for the Second Year
Pure Fishing, parent company of Berkley, Abu Garcia and All Star rods is proud to partner with the BoatUS National Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship.
This will mark the second consecutive year that Berkley has partnered with the Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship.
"The students that fished the series last year were tremendous," said Sr. Marketing Manager Andrew Marks. "Their professionalism and dedication to the sport along with their commitment to academics will ensure the future of fishing continues to flourish."
The scientists behind Berkley line and bait use advanced technologies, which provide the best products to help anglers "Catch More Fish". Started in 1937 by Berkley Bedell, the company is part of the largest fishing tackle company in the world. The portfolio of products include the best brands that anglers use around the world including TrileneTM, FireLineTM, Big GameTM, PowerBaitTM, Gulp! TM, Gulp! Alive! TM and Lightning RodsTM.
Abu Garcia, founded in Svangsta Sweden in 1921, still uses Swedish engineering to develop the most popular reels today. The Abu Garcia C3 is the best-selling bait cast reel in the market. This commitment to excellence and durability has been instilled in the revolutionary low profile Revo series. The expansion of the original Revo series with the additions of the Inshore, Premier, Winch, Toro and Skeet Reese model defines the tradition of bringing the best reels to anglers all over the world.
All Star takes pride in the inherent quality put into every rod produced. Every stage of rod making is done by hand, from wrapping the graphite around mandrels that have been designed to give the exact actions anglers need, to sanding and finishing. Simply put, All Star rods are built to last.
Pure Fishing is offering numerous cash and product incentives for tournament wins and catching big bass. Berkley Conservation Institutes will present the award for the Collegiate Angler of the Year that combines angling skills and academics to reward students for their efforts to improve the industry and conservation.
