Berkley has a longstanding program of designing baits and colors for specific bodies of water. They have also designed baits for their pro's that were specifically for the Bassmaster Classic. In 2007 the Berkley Chigger Craw was a very large part of Boyd Duckett's win. That bait ultimately became the rage and still is a leading seller as a standalone bait or a jig trailer.
This year, Berkley has racheted it up another notch and designed the 4" Crazy Legs Chigger Craw that has oversized enhanced antenna that kick like crazy in the water. We call them "antenna on steroids". We believe the Berkley pro's are well armed again for stained or muddy water with this bait.
The body of the bait is squarish with 4 segments and a head and the body is lined with 3 sets of smallish legs in segment 2, 3 and 4 respectively and is matched with serrated oversized pinchers attached at the head. This is a Power Bait so it attracts bass and the color selection looks great for the Red River. Watermelon, Green Pumpkin Party, Black and Blue and Green Pumpkin Blue are our favorites.
We will continue to highlight new Berkley Classic Baits as we get closer to the event.
