NORMAN, Okla. – For fans of professional bass fishing looking to relieve some cabin fever, the BASS ZONE will debut its newest addition to the show beginning February 4, 2009 at 1:00 CST. The new feature allows fans the ability to take a live look into the hottest fishing show on the airways.
Each Sunday morning hosts Mark Jeffreys and Gary Giudice cover the only nation wide satellite radio show on SIRIUS channel 122 and XM channel 143, focusing exclusively on professional bass fishing. The hour-long program features interviews and insight from the biggest names in the sport.
“The show primarily consists of Gary Giudice, who has been in the bass fishing business for over 30 years, and myself talking about the world of professional bass fishing,” explains Jeffreys. “We really have opposite personalities but when we get on the radio together, we really gel. I’m more ‘new school’ and Gary is ‘old school’ so it gives a unique perspective to the listener.”
With the addition of what is being dubbed “instant feedback”, listeners will be able to log on and take part in a live blog moderated by The BASS ZONE staff. Through this live blog, listeners can submit questions for Giudice and Jeffreys to ask their guests.
In addition to the live blog, fans will also have access to a live web cam, which will show Giudice and Jeffreys taping the program in real time. Listeners and viewers will also have the opportunity to win products from different sponsors of The BASS ZONE on SIRIUS/XM Sports Nation by sending in questions and comments through the “instant feedback” feature.
Each listener who has a question selected and featured during the taping will score a prize pack from BASS ZONE sponsors valued at $50. Live tapings are scheduled for each Wednesday at 1:00 CST and prize packs will be given away during each taping. The first show features Ish Monroe and Skeet Reese as guests.
